If that isn’t the best blog post title I’ll ever write in my entire life, I don’t know what is.
She doesn’t sleep through the night every night. Some nights, she still wakes up, but even when she does, she only wakes up once. We aren’t forced to get up multiple times a night anymore, so that is fantastic. Her gassiness problem also seems to be doing a lot better. Hallelujah.
If you stumbled upon this and are hoping I have some great advice on how you can get your two-month-old baby to sleep through the night, sorry, but I don’t. Honestly, I think all the newborn problems are something they just grow out of. You have to wait it out, unfortunately.
The only advice I have for you is to stock up on Red Bull, and go to sleep as early as you possibly can. This means that if your baby falls asleep at 6:30pm, you go to sleep at 6:30pm. Don’t say, “Oh, now would be a good time to catch up on Netflix!”
Sure, it may be the only free time you get for a month, but if you stay awake until 8:30 watching Netflix, your baby could wake up at 8:31. Then, you have to feed them, and may not get to go to bed until 10:30, if you’re lucky. You just lost precious hours of sleep so you could watch garbage television!
Anyway, I took some two-month photos of London (more on Instagram). They’re actually more like two and a half month photos, but I’m back to work full-time now, so what do you expect? Read the previous paragraph. I’m using my free time to sleep.
In other news, one of my goals for the year was to blog at least three times a month. It’s already the middle of January, and this is my first one, so I’m not sure how well that goal is going to pan out. I’m sure things will get easier as London gets a little older. I’ll also probably have more things to blog about as she gets older.
I’ve been working on a post that goes over my top Amazon purchases from 2018, so if you want to see that anytime soon, nag me about it and I’ll get it finished as soon as I can.
