Liam, London, and Cameron got me a bracelet for Mother’s Day this year. It’s one of those charm bracelets, and so far, I have a charm that says #1 Mom and another charm of Big Ben. Big Ben is shaped like an “L,” so it was perfect in two ways – L for Liam, plus I love London, England. We didn’t know if the baby was a girl or a boy yet, but now that we know she’s a girl and are actually naming her London, the charm works in three ways!
Anyway, I wear it every day, but for the longest time, I was only able to wear it if I remembered to ask Cameron to put it on for me before he left for work. It was impossible to clasp it on myself. I remember asking people on social media if they knew how to do it, and luckily, I’m not the only person who doesn’t know how to put a bracelet with a clasp on by myself.
I did some searching on Amazon, because that’s how I solve all of my problems in life. I found the Bracelet Mate! I didn’t even know these things existed, and to be honest, I wasn’t even sure if it would work. It was only $5.99, though, so I figured it was worth giving it a try. Plus, I’ve found it so easy to return things on Amazon that if I really felt like I’d wasted $5.99, I was sure I’d have no problem returning it.
This thing is amazing, though. I never spend more than 30 seconds trying to put my bracelet on, and now, I don’t ever have to feel guilty for leaving the house without it because I couldn’t figure out how to get the dang thing on.
Now that I have one, the picture they use on Amazon looks pretty self-explanatory. Before I received it, though, it looked awkward and like it may only work if I was really coordinated and able to twist my wrist in certain ways.
I was wrong. It’s so easy. I can make a video if anyone is interested. Just let me know!
