IT’S A GIRL!

It’s a girl and her name is London Audrey Irons!

I wanted the baby to be a girl, and I was pretty positive it was, just because of the fact that this pregnancy has been completely different than it was when I was pregnant with Liam. By “completely different,” what I really mean is “incredibly worse.” I mean, look… I haven’t blogged in almost two months. It isn’t because I forgot about the blog. It’s because I literally haven’t felt like doing anything. I went a solid eight weeks being nauseous and/or (usually and) having a migraine.

I’m thinking the worst is over. At least I hope it is. I’ve had a cold for 10 days, so at this point, it’s hard to tell if I’m having one of my “regular,” typical headaches, or if it’s a sinus headache. I’ll tell you one thing, though. It’s not nearly as bad as the headaches I was having before, and I’d gladly go the rest of my life having snot drip out of my nose if it meant I wouldn’t have to continue having headaches every single day.

Speaking of snot dripping out of my nose, DID YOU KNOW that at pharmacies, there is a special kind of Sudafed that they keep behind the counter? You don’t need a prescription for it, but they do have to ID you. Apparently, it’s what people use to make meth. WHO KNEW?! Anyway, my doctor said that the regular Sudafed they have on the shelves usually doesn’t help anyone, and what you really need, is the glorious, “behind the counter” version. He may be on to something because I took it like three hours ago, and now I’m actually coming to you live from www.rachelcorinne.com and writing a very rambly blog post. This wouldn’t have happened if I was still using the crap Sudafed that I’d already used for 10 days with no improvement.

Back to the title of the blog post. We’ve already started putting her room together. I need to take better pictures once it’s all completely done, but for now, these pictures will have to suffice. It’s a pink and mint, floral pattern, and if you’ve looked at girl nurseries much on Pinterest, you’ve probably seen it. I really want to go all out and buy every single thing that goes along with the set, but I also don’t want to blow hundreds of dollars decorating a nursery, when I know it will be changed within two years. Liam’s Lion King bedroom has already started morphing into a Daniel Tiger bedroom, and do you even know how much Disney bedding/decor is?!

But I’ll probably still buy it all. Just as soon as we pay off this $3,000 deductible in advance of having little London Audrey viciously cut out of my body. Isn’t health insurance GREAT?

Since I’ve been AFB (Away From Blog) for so long, I feel like there’s about 100 things I could say right now, but since this blog post is already a mess, I’ll just have to divide it up into individual blog posts.

Be back soon. Probably.

How exciting to want a little girl and then find out you are in fact having one! I always pictured having a daughter, but I’m happy with my two boys.
